VAIRKKO is excited to be attending The Preparedness and Resilience Summit in Anderson County, SC this week. The Anderson County Preparedness and Resilience Summit is a great opportunity for professionals from both the private and public sectors to come together and discuss best practices in preparedness, emergency management, crisis response, resiliency and homeland security. The two-and-a-half-day Summit is focused on “whole community” efforts to forecast and prepare for current and emerging threats, plan in order to mitigate system failures during crises and bouncing back as a community as rapidly as possible.
Summit presenters include a range of national and international homeland security and emergency management experts. Speakers will cover a range of topics including; emphasizing the roles that elected and non-elected officials as well as other leaders can play in protecting critical infrastructure and soft targets (e.g. hospitals, churches, schools, and theaters.)
